David Everett Strickler

David Everett Strickler is the current President of the American Marketing Association Los Angeles, overseeing the entire chapter’s operations, recruitment, and strategy for its 300+ members and volunteers. He previously served on the Board of Directors for the 2018-19 year as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships.

A self-described creative marketer, David Everett Strickler is an experienced marketing professional known for his out-of-the-box creative marketing campaigns, branding expertise, and aptitude to drive business growth for nearly a decade. David has created successful go-to-market campaigns for an array of clients including Fox, Dove, Time Warner Cable, USA Networks, Dunkin Donuts, Boost Mobile, and Verizon over his career. He has held positions in both B2B and B2C organizations and across multiple
verticals including real estate, non-profit, media, entertainment and professional services.

David launched his own marketing consultancy in 2014, offering consultative branding and marketing services to clients across the United States and from a host of industries. In just over a year, he grew his consulting business roster by over 118%. As a consultant, he has had the extreme pleasure of working with an array of clients including entrepreneurs, small business owners, startups and even Hollywood studio executives. David was also acting marketing consultant on La Femme et le TGV which received an Academy Award nomination for Best Short Film (Live Action) in 2017.

David has been a contributor to countless online articles and industry publications including CMSWire.com, Bustle, Business2Community, Ed2010, MarketingProfs, Conversaa and Insureon. David is outspoken about his unconventional path to business, and personal journey, taking speaking engagements at both John Jay College of Criminal Justice and City University of New York in New York City as an opportunity to share his experiences with young people. He is also involved with several non-profit charities, for whom he gives marketing and strategic consulting to, free of charge.

Outside of an office setting, and among other hobby’s, he is an avid amateur photographer. His work has been included in major news and media outlets over the past few years including Yahoo, Fast Company, The Huffington Post and most recently in Alec Baldwin’s 2017 book, “You Can’t Spell America Without Me” by Penguin Press. David holds a B.S. in Marketing from St. John’s University and lives in Studio City, CA with his husband Daniel.
